40.1 weeks, question?

Is it common with the first pregnancy to go past ur EDD? Everyone keeps asking me why im still pregnant and i cant answer that. I dont have any complications to speak of and my baby is just in there chillin out! I have tried EVERYTHING under the sun and im still pregnant! Is it common, or a concern? I am being induced on tuesday.
