What does EDD consider Late on claim forms?

I thought I mailed my claim form on the Monday it was due but the Mail man didn't pick it up. the claim form was mailed on Wednesday and I just received a letter for a phone interview for sending my form in late. Is that really late? Should I worry about it? What should I say?
