I have a phone interview with EDD, any advice?

Only way you are going to get unemployment is if you either got laid off or was wrongfully terminated from your job. You know who is going to be paying you your unemployment check???? It's your old work place. Well most of it, if your work place has a valid reason for firing you then your chances of getting unemployment is kinda low. But good luck
