Etiquette for calling off?

I faced something similar as a temporary worker at Pepsi. Manager let me go, but when he was out sick two weeks later and loading crews were overburdened, supervisors called me back. It took management ten years to cut me loose again, but I have retirement coming! Good luck, and I wish I could support you more.
