Unemployment and school mix?

Live in California, Ok I was working and going to school full time yeah both... I got fired and I applied for EDD but I CAN'T remember if I put that I was going to school when I applied... they accepted me and I just got the first paperwork and it asks if im going to school... im taking 3 online classes and one in school i dont know if it matters... I've heard that you can't go to school while in unemployment... and if you don't tell them you can go to jail.. so im afraid to turn in that paper
